#19 Oklahoma State visits Iowa State

PhotobucketThe 19th ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys have traveled to Ames, Iowa to take on the Big 12 North foe Iowa State Cyclones. The Cowboys are coming off a crushing by the hands of #2 Texas on Halloween night, so the 'Boys are looking to rebound and start playing like they were before they met up with the Longhorns.

The Cowboys are now 6-2, 3-1 in the conference. Iowa State is 5-4, 2-3 in the conference. On paper the Cowboys should be able to handle the Cyclones fairly easily but you never know how things are going to end up from week to week.

One thing is for sure, Zac Robinson needs to rebound off that terrible game he had against the Longhorns. Robinson had been playing some very smart ball and playing very well. He was the Big 12 passing eff. leader and had only thrown 3 interceptions going into that game. He ended up throwing 4 interceptions in the Texas game alone, including two that were returned for touchdowns.

Lets look to see if the Cowboys can regain their confidence against Iowa State today.

Some series notes:
  • Oklahoma State leads the series 24-17-3 against the Cyclones.
  • We're only 10-11-1 in Ames.
  • The Cowboys won their last two home games in the series by a combined score of 95-24.
  • The Cowboys have lost their last two road games in the series by a combined score of 82-27.
  • OSU is 3-4-1 in its last eight games at Iowa State.
  • In Big 12 play, OSU holds a 4-3 series advantage.
  • When playing as a member of the AP top 25, OSU is 6-2 against Iowa State.

I'll try to post some throughout the game when it starts in about 30 minutes.

LET'S GO POKES!!!
