Oklahoma State is going to need some help in the BCS

In this weeks BCS standings the Oklahoma State Cowboys made a big jump from 19th to 12th place after their win against Texas Tech. I would bet that the Cowboys won't be moving up in next weeks polls. Yeah, the Cowboys did win last night against the Colorado Buffaloes, but it wasn't pretty and they had to come from behind to win.

Colorado is awful this year and the 12th ranked Cowboys had a lot of trouble against them. Granted Oklahoma State was playing without their starting quarterback, Zac Robinson but even without Zac most people thought that the Cowboys would be able to win easily over the lowly Buffaloes.

If it wasn't for the 3rd string quarterback, Brandon Weeden coming in after half time and providing the spark to the OSU offense that they needed, it's likely that the 'Boys would have lost this game, and badly.

OSU is going to need a lot of help if they want to break into the top 10 in the BCS. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the Cowboys lose a couple of spots after that dismal performance against Colorado.

But there is hope.

The 11th ranked Oregon Ducks travel to Arizona to take on the Wildcats who were recently ranked in the polls and are having a pretty decent year. Can the Wildcats pull off the upset over the Ducks? Cowboy fans sure hope so.

Ohio State is ranked 10th and they are playing against Michigan at Michigan. Michigan started off fast but have struggled in Big Ten play. Although the Wolverines' season has gone done the crapper this game should be a pretty good game.

9th ranked Pittsburgh has the weekend off.

Les Miles and 8th ranked LSU travel to Oxford to take on Ole Miss who just whooped up on Tennessee last week. Ole Miss was once ranked 4th this year but have struggled since then but are starting to improve of late. LSU might want to watch out.

Georgia Tech, ranked 7th has the weekend off.

6th ranked Boise State takes on Utah State tonight and as I'm watching this game right now it's 14-14 halfway through the second quarter. Can the Aggies pull off the upset?

5th ranked Cincinnati has the weekend off.

4th ranked TCU takes on lowly Wyoming in Laramie. The Hornfrogs should win pretty easily.

3rd ranked Texas host the Kansas Jayhawks. Kansas has struggled a lot this year and there are a lot of rumblings coming out of Lawrence. Look for Texas to blow them out.

Alabama takes on powder puff Chattanooga. Easy win for the 2nd ranked Crimson Tide.

Number one Florida takes on cream puff Florida International for an easy win.

It's not likely but it could be possible for the Pokes to move up in the BCS, but the Cowboys are going to need a lot of help from some struggling teams to upset the top ranked teams in the nation. If you're a Cowboy fan you're cheering for the underdogs this weekend.

BallHype: hype it up! I'm reading: Oklahoma State is going to need some help in the BCSTweet this!
