College Power Rankings: Week 6

I was just looking over the week 6 power rankings for college football over at ESPN. Florida is still number one after beating the 4th ranked LSU Tigers 13-3 Saturday night. Alabama is number two and there has been a lot of chatter about how Alabama should be number and there is a strong case for it. They did beat Virgina Tech at the beginning of the year. Virgina Tech is now number 4 in the power rankings. They also beat 24th ranked Ole Miss, who at one time was ranked as high as 4th in the nation. I think we can all say that Ole Miss was more than likely overrated at the beginning of the season.

Texas is number three and there shouldn't be any surprise there.

My problem with this list begins at numbers 16, 17 and 18. Oklahoma is number 16. Kansas is number 17 and my Oklahoma State Cowboys are at the 18th spot. We are ranked behind OU??! They have lost two games and are no where close to what they were last year or even in years past. Kansas may be undefeated still but they have barely squeaked by with wins against questionable teams.

Now I do admit that we have had our problems this year but we are arguably better than both those teams and if we are able to get Dez Bryant back we will be better than both.

We shall see how big of a fraud Oklahoma is after they get crushed by Texas this Saturday.

BallHype: hype it up! I'm reading: College Power Rankings: Week 6Tweet this!
