Cowboys No. 17 in NFL Power Rankings for Week 6

The ESPN NFL Power Rankings are now out. You can check the whole list out, here.

Obviously the 5 undefeated teams stand atop the rankings, as they should, but if you scroll down to the seventeenth spot you'll see the Dallas Cowboys shining bright. If you ask me, a die hard Cowboys fan, this is a generous ranking. To be brutally honest, we stink people! Yeah we may be a few close plays to being 5-0 and that would be great. We should have won against the Giants, who are currently number 2 on that list and we should have won against the Bronco's as well. The Bronco's are number 5 on that list. Both of those teams are undefeated, the Bronco's surprisingly so.

But have you looked at the three teams we have are wins against?

We beat Tampa Bay opening day 34-21. Our offense showed up and Tony hardly made any mistakes. Oh yeah, the Bucs are now 0-5 and number 31 in the power rankings.

We beat the Carolina Panthers 21-7 on a Monday night when Romo played smart and didn't turn the ball over. The Panthers are 1-3, getting their first win in comeback fashion Sunday. They are 23rd on the list.

And of course Sunday we somehow managed a win against the Kansas City Chiefs 26-20...in overtime. How many games have the Chiefs won? None, they are 0-5 and are 30th in the power rankings. Did I mention that it took us overtime to beat these guys? We should have lost to them.

There are a whole lot of negatives with this Dallas team and very, very few positives. We have a Bye week this week and we should use this time to get refocused on football and playing smart and not making all the mistakes that have been killing us. What are they actually going to do this week? Probably nothing, knowing them. They need a kick in the butt and they need it now.

Did I mention we beat Kansas City, in overtime?
