Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Falcons season stats, so far

I was just looking over the season stats for the Dallas Cowboys and how they match up with their next opponent the Atlanta Falcons and thought I would share the info.

Offensively, Dallas is second in the NFL in yards per game with 420.4. Atlanta is 18th with 327.8 yards per game. Advantage Cowboys, by nearly a hundred yards.

In passing yards per game, Dallas is 9th with 259.4. Atlanta is 15th with 229.2. Advantage Cowboys.

The Cowboys are 3rd in the NFL in rushing yards per game with 161.0. Atlanta is 24th with 98.0. Pretty big advantage to Dallas.

Dallas and Atlanta are pretty much even in points per game. Dallas is 11th with 24.4 while Atlanta is 10th with 24.6. So there is really no advantage to any team here.

Defensively Dallas is 22nd in yards per game allowing 357.8. Atlanta is not that far behind us allowing 359.2. So we are pretty much even there.

In pass yards given up per game Dallas is 26th allowing 251.4. Atlanta is slightly better with only given up 241.0 per game. Slight advantage to Atlanta.

Dallas is 17th in the NFL allowing 106.4 rushing yards per game. Atlanta is 23rd allowing 118.2. Slight advantage to the 'Boys.

In scoring defense the Cowboys are tied for 12th place with the 49ers allowing 19.6 points a game. The Atlanta defense is 4th in the league only given up 15.4 points a game. Advantage Falcons.

So overall who is the better team going by the stats? I would like to say that there is a slight edge to the Dallas Cowboys. But we all know that stats can be deceiving, right? Should be an interesting game Sunday.

BallHype: hype it up! I'm reading: Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Falcons season stats, so farTweet this!
